Big Data Intelligence Centre (BDIC) (BDIC website under construction)
The Centre aims to undertake relevant, high-quality applied research in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics. It also addresses the growing demand in industry for a fuller understanding of Big Data, and disseminate Big Data related knowledge to academics, practitioners and government units in Hong Kong.
Over the past few years, Google and many major Internet companies have invested significantly in Machine Learning technology, in particular, so-called “Deep Learning” using very-large-scale multi-layer neural networks. The centre aims to provide a cloud computing environment for deep learning, as well as being a hub for training, growing and nurturing specialists on deep learning (especially using TensorFlow) and managing big data in a cloud computing environment.
The Institute aims to undertake relevant, high-quality policy research in supply chain and logistics management, bringing direct benefits to the community and enhancing the well-beings of supply chain and logistics stakeholders in Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta.
