St. Paul Co-education College Primary School (SPCCPS) paid a visit to the School of Decision Sciences (SDSC) on 29 August 2025, aimed at fostering collaboration in STEAM education. This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing interdisciplinary learning experiences for students, preparing them for a rapidly evolving technological future.
The delegation from SPCCPS, including IT Director, IT Officers and teachers were welcomed by Prof Chan Wai Sum, Dean of SDSC. The visit commenced by Prof Daniel Mo, Associate Dean (Engagement and UG Studies), made an introduction of SDSC and our innovative approaches adopted in integrating STEAM elements into the existing curriculum.
Visiting activities including IoT STEM Kit and robotics doggies’ demonstration (supported by ESGS project “Teaching Smart Decision Analytics for Supply Chain and Information Management Programme Enhancement”), a virtual reality tour, and a session on generative AI for teaching and learning etc., showcasing various projects that illustrate the exciting possibilities of STEAM education.
As the visit came to a close, delegation of SPCCPS took group photos with our Vice-Presidents and SDSC colleagues.
During the visit, participants expressed their excitement about the future possibilities of STEAM learning. We also look forward to having for future collaborative projects, joint events, and the development of a comprehensive STEAM curriculum that can be implemented across both schools.
