07 Jan, 2026

The School of Decision Sciences (SDSC) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) successfully hosted the “Embracing Decision Science, Winning in the Digital Era” Programme Information Seminar and Consultation Session on 17 December 2025 at the HSUHK (Nansha) Centre. The event aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the programme features and latest admission requirements for five undergraduate programmes, five postgraduate programmes, and a new professional doctoral programme offered by SDSC, empowering prospective students, parents, teachers and partners across the region, with a better understanding of the School’s academic strengths and professional development pathways.

The information session began with an introductory remark by Professor Liu Hai, Associate Dean (Research) of SDSC, who outlined the School’s academic philosophy, development roadmap, organizational structure and major research areas. This was followed by presentations from four programme team members, Professor Choy Siu Kai, Dr Aileen Hou, Dr Sam Chen, and Dr Paul Zou. They introduced key aspects of the programmes, including curriculum structure, teaching approaches, student learning experiences and career prospects for their respective undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Their sharing definitely helped participants clearly grasp the programme’s objectives and future opportunities.

The event also featured a sharing session by an alumni from the MSc-INS programme, who shared her learning experience and campus life, and offered participants a highlight of the learning environment and support provided by the university.

Following the information seminar, a consultation session was held for participants to engage with the programme team, to seek advice on various aspects, including programme and admission requirement, academic planning and career development, for better understanding how the programme aligns with their interests and aspirations.

The event attracted over 60 participants. The enthusiastic discussions and insightful exchanges underscored the collective commitment for learning Decision Sciences. This engagement also created a positive momentum in advancing the School’s teaching and research development.
