On 17 October 2023, the Jardine Aviation Services Group (JASG) and the School of Decision Sciences at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding. The two parties will collaborate to cultivate the next generation of talent in the aviation industry and promote industry development through various projects and programmes.

Since 1946, JASG has been dedicated to providing comprehensive services to customers at the Hong Kong International Airport, becoming a market leader in aviation ground services in Hong Kong. Ms Irene Tang, Head of Human Resources at JASG, expressed great anticipation for this collaboration and hopes to fully leverage the strengths of both parties to provide students with more practical opportunities. Professor Wai Sum Chan, Dean of the School of Decision Sciences at HSUHK, also hopes that students can apply their knowledge, enhance practical skills, understand the latest trends and technologies in the aviation industry, and improve their professional competence and competitiveness through various forms of guidance and training, such as project studies, internships, and mentorship programs.

In addition to the aforementioned projects, JASG will also offer scholarship scheme from the academic year 2023 to 2026 to recognize and reward outstanding students from the School of Decision Sciences, encouraging them to strive for excellence, pursue progress, and surpass themselves.

The memorandum of understanding was jointly signed by Ms Irene Tang, Head of Human Resources at JASG, and Professor Wai Sum Chan, Dean of the School of Decision Sciences at HSUHK.
