The fourth series of the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Workshop – “Dining Etiquette Workshop” was held in The Inspiring on 29 February 2024. Over 25 students participated in the workshop.
The workshop was hosted by Mr Sam Chong, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage of New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel. Sam is a seasoned hotelier and award-winning professional sommelier.
In the workshop, Sam shared his professional knowledge on table etiquette with students. The content included seating arrangements before meals, use of tableware and wine glasses, manners during meals, details to pay attention to and after meals, as well as the knowledge of wine and food pairing. Apart from theoretical learning, food and drinks were prepared for students to have on-site practice.
Students enjoyed and inspired by the speakers’ profound experience which should be useful for enhancing their future career and day-to-day life.
