20 Aug, 2026

The HSUHK Welcome Fest 2026 (Academic Session) of the School of Decision Sciences was held on 20 August 2026 at the Auditorium to welcome the undergraduate freshmen from the five undergraduate programmes (BSc-AC, BSc-AIN, BSc-DSBI, BBA-SCM and BSc-BAIM/BMSIM).

Kicking off the session with a specially prepared campus tour video, Professor Chan Wai-sum, Dean of SDSC, guided new students through the University’s iconic landmarks and vibrant learning environment before delivering his welcome address. He also introduced the School’s structure, distinctive programme offerings, and future development directions. Professor Daniel Mo, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), shared valuable insights into student life and the wide range of extracurricular opportunities available at SDSC, while Professor George Ho, Associate Dean (Engagement), highlighted the School’s innovative initiatives and notable accomplishments. The session concluded on a high note with a live interactive robotic dog demonstration and a series of engaging games, which captivated the audience and created an energetic and exciting atmosphere for all participants.

Following the School session, students attended programme sessions organised by respective programme teams, where they received detailed briefings on academic disciplines and programme requirements, and had the opportunity to interact with faculty members and fellow classmates.
