The Academic Session of New Student Orientation Series 2022 was held on 2 September 2022. Professor Wai-sum Chan, Dean of School of Decision Sciences, warmly welcomed the new students from the five programmes (BSC-AC/BA-AHCC, BSC-AIN, BSC-DSBI, BBA-SCM and BMSIM) and gave an overview of the School and its activities. He shared the uniqueness and the competitiveness of Decision Sciences in the Big Data era, encouraged students to explore themselves by participating in different competitions and internships. Prof Chan also introduced the School Management Team including Associate Deans, Department Heads, Associate Heads and Programme Directors to new students.

Dr Daniel Mo, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) introduced the “Talent Development Scheme” which will be firstly launched in this academic year. The Scheme aims to enrich students’ outside classroom learning experiences in form of various workshops and equip their employability and leadership skills.

After the School session, students attended the programme sessions organised by their programmes.
